Setting Up Your Philips SpeechMic: Quick Guide

Step 1: Set Dictation Software Shortcut

1. Open dictation software Settings → Controls

2. Set External Control to Ctrl + Shift + D
   
   

   

Step 2: Configure SpeechMic in Philips SpeechControl

1. Open Philips SpeechControl software

2. Go to Button configuration

3. Select Button: Record

4. Set:

   • Button type: Hotkey

   • Key code identifier: D

   • Key character: d

   • Modifiers: ✓ Control ✓ Shift

5. Click OK
   
   

   

Step 3: Upload Settings to Device (CRITICAL)

Click the Upload button in SpeechControl toolbar

Without this step, your settings won't transfer to the SpeechMic.

Test

1. Press Record button on SpeechMic

2. Dictation should start

3. Press again to stop

If Not Working

• Verify shortcuts match exactly

• Confirm you clicked Upload

• Check status shows "Ready"

• Restart both applications
